About Emotiscale
A measuring instrument, built to be checked.
Why this exists
Many online emotional intelligence tests provide only a short quiz or a sales page with little measurement detail. Some established providers do publish technical reports, including Truity. The gap we are addressing is making the method, assumptions and precision visible where a consumer can use them before deciding whether to pay.
So this is the boring version: a documented instrument, two tracks kept separate because they measure different things, a margin of error on every figure, and a page that says what the instrument cannot do.
What we will not do
- No single headline score fusing two weakly-related measures.
- No percentile until there are enough sittings to make one mean something.
- No mean-100 score borrowed from IQ testing.
- No claim that this can prevent, treat or improve any health condition.
- No face or voice emotion reading, in any form.
- No cancellation maze. One click, always.
Who is behind it
Emotiscale.
We are actively looking for a credentialed reviewer to audit the instrument and be named on the method page. If that is you, please get in touch.
